Bamba Mamadou is a distinguished leader in Côte d’Ivoire’s agricultural sector, celebrated for his extensive experience in building sustainable and ethical value chains. As the founder and General Director of ECOOKIM, Bamba has spearheaded the growth of the organization in the production and export of cocoa, coffee, and cashew. His leadership has established ECOOKIM as a major player in Côte d’Ivoire’s agricultural export market, emphasizing Fairtrade practices and improving the livelihoods of over 35,500 cooperatives members and producers. In addition to his role at ECOOKIM, Bamba co-founded ECOCAJOU, a cashew processing factory, and KimVas, an organic cocoa processing factory in Daloa. These ventures showcase his expertise in agricultural processing and his commitment to sustainable practices. Bamba’s personal experience as a farmer is particularly valuable to SOCATRA. His deep understanding of the challenges and needs of farmer communities enhances SOCATRA’s ability to connect with and share valuable insights with these communities. This connection is crucial for SOCATRA’s mission to provide reliable, on-the-ground data collection and support sustainable agricultural practices.
