Tomas de la Serna is the co-founder of SOCATRA, a company that excels in providing rapid and precise on-the-ground data collection services for carbon projects and sustainable agriculture initiatives. With a deep-rooted background in agricultural impact investing through INCOFIN, Tomas has honed his expertise across Latin America (LATAM) and Africa, focusing on sustainable value chains in commodities like coffee, cocoa, and cashew. His work has involved close collaboration with smallholder cooperatives and agricultural SMEs to enhance sustainability and traceability.
Before founding SOCATRA, Tomas served as the General Manager of OCEAN SA, a subsidiary of COCOASOURCE SA in Switzerland. In this role, he was instrumental in overseeing the export of 45,000 tons of traceable commodities to EUROPE, ensuring adherence to quality and sustainability standards.
